We are onsite photographers in the Cincinnati area, but we love to travel! We enjoy taking photographs of people: families, children, babies, seniors photos and more! If you would like more information about our services or would like to see more, please visit our website by clicking on the "Website" button above.
All photographs are property of Walks of Life Photography. We have no problem letting you use these photographs on your personal website as long as you provide a link back to this blog and you do not alter the photograph. Thanks!
I recently did an updated the online photo store and thought you guys might like to take a look at it.
After your session, I post your photographs in a password protected online gallery for you to order your prints.
I also have some Fine Art photographs in the store as well. ( The photograph shown below was featured in the book Capture Cincinnati 2009. )
You can access the online store by clicking "Buy Photos" above or clicking here.

I love being able to take a pictures all the time. Having a camera phone makes this so much easier for me. I'm able to take pictures when I don't have all my professional equipment with me. The problem is that a camera phone doesn't let me do all the fancy things my professional equipment can. So it's not always easy to get good pictures. For example, my phone doesn't have a flash, so I have to hold it very still for several seconds to get a picture in poor lighting. If I don't, my pictures come out blurry.
I was looking around the internet trying to find some more things about photography and I came across this website. It's 10 tips for getting better photographs with your camera phone. Since most of us have camera phones, I thought this would be a cool website for anyone to check out!
Here's the link.

It's about time we jumped on Facebook. Actually, I've had my own personal Facebook page for 5+ years. I finally created a Facebook fan page for Walks of Life Photography. We will choose at least 5 pictures from each session to place on Facebook. If you find us and become one of our fans, we will tag you (or your child) in our photos so all of your friends can see your photos too!

I almost forgot to blog about Imaging USA!
Last month, I went to Imaging USA which is the annual convention for the PPA (Professional Photographer of America) . It was held January 10-12 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center in Nashville. Eric and I went and we had a fabulous time! Everyday you could attend 4 classes and there were so many to choose from. We sat in on classes that talked about a wide range of topic, like children & baby photography, to classes about family and senior portraits, and to classes that discussed facebook and new social media. I learned so much from attending. Everyday the Expo / tradeshow was open and I got to see so many new and exciting products out there for photographers and clients. It was amazing at how many people were there. They said they broke all the other convention records for attendance, over 10,000! I came away from the convention excited about my photography and growing my business.
I would like to share some pictures I took while we were there, *but please don't judge me based on this work, I only took these with my cell phone.*
This was one of the many waterfalls.
This was behind that waterfall.
This was on the out on the other side of the waterfall.
The waterfalls here were beautiful!
This was a shopping & eating area called The Delta.
The Imaging USA sign right outside of the Expo.
It really pretty at night.
Up at the sky at night. It was nice to be around palm trees in January!
They still had some Christmas decorations up.
Everyone got out of class and was waiting to get some lunch!
I had great time and if I'm lucky I would like to go next year too! If you have any questions about it, feel free to e-mail me. I love to talk about it. mandy@walksoflifephotography.com
